One of the greatest Rugby League coaches of all time

Winners don’t wait for chances, they take them. And no one has made a habit of winning more than great Craig Bellamy. He’s widely regarded as one of the greatest Rugby League coaches of all time.

When he started coaching, Craig learned from the best. He joined the Brisbane Broncos as Wayne Bennett’s assistant coach in 1998 and helped them win titles in 1998 and 2000.

He was then appointed Melbourne Storm NRL head coach in 2003. Since his arrival, the Storm have played in eight NRL Grand Finals, won four titles, four minor premierships, two World Club Challenge trophies and qualified for semi-finals football every year. During his tenure, he’s won an incredible 286 games with his club, with a 68% winning percentage. In fact, he has never coached a losing NRL season (in terms of wins).

Outside of the Storm, Craig was NSW State of Origin coach from 2008-10, Australian Test assistant coach in 2005-06 and is a three-time winner of the NRL’s Daily M Coach of the Year award.
