While Dan was working at working at the Prince Wine Store, the wine list was awarded a prestigious three-glass award from the Wine List of the Year Awards.
He became the head sommelier at Taxi Dining Room. He was a part of the team that won the restaurant the Restaurant of the Year Award in the Good Food Guide in 2006.
He then became head sommelier at Fifteen.
He was awarded the inaugural Sommelier of The Year by The Age Good Food Guide in 2007.
