Big-hearted fast bowler loved by cricket fans globally, representing Australia between 1985 and 1994.

With a successful international career spanning over 30 years, Merv is a knowledgeable sports commentator and guest panellist, as well as a hugely popular keynote/ anecdotal speaker.

Merv is also host of Merv Hughes Fishing on 7Mate sharing his love of fishing.

In 2021 Merv was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.

Merv represented Australia in 53 Test matches taking 212 wickets and 33 One Day Internationals taking 38 wickets.

He was an Australian selector from 2005 to 2010.
